Born To Do This
A Bit About Me
Hello & welcome! I am a Michigan girl living in a Minnesota world. I am a wife, a mother of 4 beautiful girls 7 and under. (Surprise twins!! Baby # 3 became # 3 & 4) I am also a NICU nurse for eight years and a birth doula. I completed my Doula Certificate through Childbirth International in 2019.
My hope is to help empower you as parents to make the best decisions for yourself and your family. I want to enable and equip you to feel confident, capable, safe, and excited to welcome this new life.
When I am not working or mothering I enjoy a good cup of coffee or a glass of red wine. I also love to bake.
I think the quote that best embodies the work I want to do comes from Joan of Arc, “I am not afraid, I was born to do this.” I hope to help empower you to know you were born to do this! And that this child was made for you and you for them. I look forward to getting to know you.

Prenatal Visits
Once hired my services include 24/7 text, phone, & email support.
1-2 prenatal meetings; depending on when your due date is and what you feel your needs are. We can meet sometime at the beginning of your third trimester (28 weeks) and then again between 35 and 36 weeks!
We will talk about your birth plan (if you have one), comfort measures, discuss any concerns, special requests and questions you may have.
Labor Support
Once in active labor, I will join your family at home or I will meet you at your hospital or birth center. I will support you during labor and birth providing comfort measures and physical and emotional support to you and your partner. I will stay with you after the birth for 1-2 hours until you and your family are settled, and baby has eaten. My fee covers 18 hours of support and 1-2 hours postpartum.
* There are additional fees for longer labors but it is capped at 30 hours.
Postpartum Visit
We will meet again 1-2 weeks post delivery. We can discuss and process through your birth experience, answer any questions you may have and marvel at the beauty of your hard work!
I will also be available via phone and text to answer any baby/feeding questions you may have in the first few weeks of life. There are also many resources I can help connect you with as needed.
